Affluent area

A neighborhood, district, or region characterized by a high concentration of wealthy residents and expensive property.

Aphotic zone

The portion of a lake or ocean where there is little or no sunlight, typically receiving less than 1% of surface sunlight and precluding photosynthesis.

Aunt

The sister of one's father or mother, or the wife of one's uncle.
