Rules & Applied Examples
1. Noun & Pronoun
Nouns name people, places, things, or ideas. Pronouns (he, she, it, they) replace nouns to avoid repetition.
“Victoria (Noun) loves books. She (Pronoun) reads daily.”
“Victoria loves books. Victoria reads books Victoria bought.”
2. Verb & Adverb
Verbs express action or state of being. Adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs, usually answering how, when, or where.
“He spoke (Verb) eloquently (Adverb).”
“He spoke eloquent.”
3. Adjective & Preposition
Adjectives describe nouns (e.g. bright, ephemeral). Prepositions establish spatial, temporal, or logical relationships (in, on, under, through).
“The luminous (Adjective) moon rose above (Preposition) the horizon.”
“The luminously moon rose on the horizon.”
